OJ University

The quality of our work depends on our access to the most compelling ideas and training – that’s why we started OJ University.

For over eight years, OJ University sibling company has Found International Schools and STEAM Education centres in South East Asia region. We have ensured that the firm develops its people, supported its communities of practice, and stayed at the forefront of an ever-changing industry.

We have always attracted some of the brightest and most academically qualified new members, but we needed a process to rapidly build their real-world experience and understanding.

Staying ahead in an ideas industry

Foresight, Research and Innovation is the OJ team that leads exploration and research into new ideas. The University also offers a wide variety of professional training programmes, ensuring our people can continue to learn throughout their careers. Its knowledge management function shares best practice across all five of our global regions.

What is research at OJ?

Research is the creation and sharing of knowledge inspired by the work we do and the challenges we overcome. It is the use of targeted thinking, analysis and experimentation to strengthen the firm and keep us moving forward.

The use of research is a key element of the OJ ethos and contributes to many of the unique projects that we are involved in.

From ideas to innovations

We recognise too, that for clients today long-term value has an evolving and complex nature. Our work must often connect a project’s structural design to the positive social and environmental outcomes it will produce. Rigorous and creative research helps us to bind these elements together for our clients and partners in the public and private sector.

Our remit is wide, tackling everything from city masterplanning and transport strategy, to circular economy initiatives and innovative responses to climate change.

Our research methodologies include breadth and depth and combine design exploration, use inspired research combined with rigorous scientific methods.

Our research covers a vast range of topics and areas of expertise and is carried out in collaboration with internal researchers, partners and clients around the world.

Future of School

The global job market is rapidly changing. Schools must prepare students with the knowledge, skills and adaptability for unknown jobs and technology that has not yet been invented. At the same time, students should learn sustainable living practices and responsible consumer habits to ensure the wellbeing of communities and the environment.

The school of the future will be an adaptable learning environment, integrating digital technology and online tools to meet students’ changing needs. Collaborative spaces and a close relationship with the local community will develop support networks and encourage life-long learning.
